Replaces free-text fields with a list you control
When respondents type facility names or product codes by hand, you get twenty spellings of the same thing and a cleanup job at the end of every round. This add-on replaces those free-text fields with dropdowns driven by a list you control.
Import your reference data once — regions and districts, sites and facilities, staff rosters, catalogues — and every survey that needs it picks from the same values. Choose which column is stored with the response and which column the respondent sees, so you can store a code and show a name.

Dependent dropdowns
- Point District at Region, and the District list shows only districts in the selected region.

Questions, answered
Do I need Stedica Surveys Premium as well?
No. This add-on runs on the free Stedica Surveys plugin, version 3.2.0 or newer. A site can buy Data Sources and never touch Premium. Each product is licensed separately.
What file formats can I import?
CSV and XLSX. The import streams the file rather than loading it whole, so large reference lists do not exhaust memory.
What happens if I rename a column in my source file?
The binding is validated when you save the survey, so a missing source or a renamed value, display or match column breaks in the builder — not in front of a respondent standing in a store.
Do the dropdowns work offline?
Yes. Option lists are precomputed and stored in the browser before they are needed, so dropdowns keep working when the connection drops.
What happens when my licence or trial expires?
The add-on behaves as though it were deactivated. Responses already collected and the reference data you imported stay in your own database for you to analyse — nothing is deleted. What stops is capture going forward: dropdowns are no longer served from those data sources. The free Stedica Surveys plugin carries on unaffected, and because each product is licensed separately an expiry here touches nothing else.
